11th January 1942. National Stamp Day (Tag der Briefmarke)

For the National Philatelist meetings, this stamp was printed in Vienna.

11th January 1942. National Philatelic Exhibition

A set of four postal stationary cards to represent the Philatelic meetings.

2nd March 1942. Official Party Stamps

The 1938 set of Official NSDAP stamps but without the watermark in the paper.

I have only illustrated one of the set, the full set can be seen on the 1938 page.

10th March 1942. Wehrmacht and Heroes Day (21st March) issue

A fallen soldier, Stalingrad had only fallen the month before.

20th March 1942. Hitler Definitive Issue - Higher Values

In March 1942 the higher Reichsmark values were added to the definitive set.

13th April 1942. The Führers Birthday Issue

   The stamp for Hitlers birthday in 1942 showed the Führer wearing a uniform
that looked less political and more military, as commander-in-chief of the
military forces.

16th July 1942. "The Blue Ribbon" Horse Races

The Blue Ribbon horse races were held in Hamburg.

The stamp was printed in Vienna

14th July 1942. "The Brown Ribbon" Horse Races.

The Brown Ribbon Races held in Munich-Riem. Stamp printed in Vienna.

July 1942. Official Stamps - Without Watermarks - Some Colour Changes

Same as the 1934 set, but with some colour changes and no watermarks

8th August 1942. 10th Anniversary of the German Goldsmiths Society

A set of two stamps and a postal stationary card, printed in Vienna.

8th August 1942. SA Sports Championships

A stamp depicting the SA (Brownshirts) Sports Badge, printed in Vienna.

29th August 1942. 400th Anniversary of the Death of Peter Henlein

Peter Henlein was the inventor of the pocket watch. Printed in Vienna.

12th September 1942. Founding the European Youth Association

The German Reich formed a European Youth Association or Union in Vienna in 1942

12th October 1942. European Postal Congress in Vienna

A set of three stamps and a postal stationary item, for the European Postal
Congress, held in Vienna in 1942.

The Postal Congress event was also covered in the stamps of Slovakia, Norway and Holland

19th October 1942. The Signing of the Postal Congress Meeting "19.Okt.1942"

The same set as before, but this time with the overprint "19.Okt.1942"

December 1942. Hitler Series - printing Style Changed

Since August 1941 the 10Rpf and 12Rpf stamps had been printed in the Recess method and from December 1942 this was changed to the Typo method.
