1st December 1940. Large air attacks on London again.

2nd December 1940. A sea of fire in Southampton.

4th December 1940. 160.000 tons have been sunk in just a few days! The radio waves are full of SOS signals.

5th December 1940. Economic pact between Berlin and Bucharest is signed.


Major Wick has not returned from his 56th air victory, so must be presumed killed in action.

6th December 1940. How long can Churchill hold on?

15th December 1940. Hitler Youth are working hard supporting the Winter Relief Fund.

16th December 1940. More sea mines are laid in British ports.


A Norwegian ship the "Oslofjord" which was in British service, sunk when it hit a mine near Newcastle

17th December 1940. 252100 tons of shipping sunk!

18th December 1940. Dr. Goebbels demands Germany’s share of world wealth. New attacks on Sheffield.

19th December 1940. Bombs on Birmingham!

20th December 1940. New heavy losses for Britain. Italians counter attack at Bardia.


The Führer holds a speech for 5000 trainee officers.

21st December 1940. Oak leaves for Kapitänleutnant Schepke.
